Michael Carrazza

Chairman

 

Michael A. Carrazza has been Chairman and Director of Patriot National Bancorp, Inc., and Patriot Bank since its recapitalization in October 2010. He is also Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Solaia Capital Advisors LLC, an investment management company specializing in the acquisition and development of middle market companies. He currently serves as a director of Siena Lending Group, a leading asset-based lending platform.

Mr. Carrazza has more than 30 years of operating and investing experience and has led transactions across the financial services, technology, industrial, aviation, and media sectors. Before establishing Solaia Capital , Mr. Carrazza was co-founder of Bard Capital Group and worked for the executive staff at Mitchell Madison Group and Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Mr. Carrazza earned his MBA in Finance from The Stern School of Business at New York University, his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and studied at The Juilliard School.

David Lowery

President and Chief Executive Vice Officer

 

Mr. Lowery has been with Patriot Bank since April 2021, and was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and the Bank, on April 21, 2023.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Lowery had been leading the Bank’s C&I, Commercial Real Estate, SBA, and Consumer Lending divisions as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer.

Prior to joining Patriot, Mr. Lowery served in various senior capacities with several institutions including Iberiabank, Metropolitan Commercial Bank, and M&T Bank.  With a focus on credit quality and growth, he has built and grown multiple, highly successful, lending platforms in the NY metropolitan area. 
 
Mr. Lowery earned his MBA at Loyola University in Maryland where he also received his undergraduate degree in Economics.

David Finn

Executive Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer

 

David Finn is Executive Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer of Patriot National Bancorp, Inc., and Patriot Bank, N.A.

Before joining the Company, from May 2014 to June 2023, Mr. Finn served as Senior Vice President at First Citizens Bank (formerly CIT Group Inc.), where he was responsible for all regulatory reporting. Mr. Finn joined CIT Group Inc. in 1998 and remained there until 2023, and held a number of positions in finance, including Global Controller of Equipment Finance and Non-Strategic Portfolios and Chief Financial Officer of the Consumer Finance segment. 

Prior to joining CIT Group Inc., Mr. Finn worked as a senior accountant in Price Waterhouse LLP and as staff accountant at Coopers & Lybrand LLP. 

Mr. Finn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management, with an Accounting and Finance concentration, from Gettysburg College.

Fred Staudmyer

Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

 

Frederick Staudmyer is the Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Chief Human Resources Officer of Patriot National Bancorp and Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Patriot Bank, N.A. since November 2014. He manages human resources, retail and business banking, corporate governance, property development and facilities management. 

Mr. Staudmyer previously served as Assistant Dean at Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. Bringing more than 30 years of human resources, general management, and corporate leadership experience, he has served at leading financial institutions where he directed talent acquisition and development, including this role at Chase Manhattan Bank, now JPMorgan Chase. His career also includes senior roles in management consulting and serving as Chief Human Resources Officer for Ziff Davis Publishing and Ziff Communications. He also served as President and COO at a national legal services and staffing company for over seven years.

Mr. Staudmyer earned his MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell and his Bachelor of Science at Cornell’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations. He has served on the board of directors at the MBA Career Services Council and as an Advisory Council Member of Cornell University’s Entrepreneurial and Personal Enterprise Program. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Human Services Council of Connecticut.

Steven Grunblatt

Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer



Mr. Grunblatt joined Patriot Bank in 2014 as Senior Vice President, Director of Technology and became Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Bank in April 2021. He has over 35 years of experience in various facets of information technology, including management and oversight of all aspects of IT Strategy, infrastructure and support, technology implementation, vendor management,  information security and cybersecurity.  

Prior to working at Patriot, Mr. Grunblatt has served in Director of Global Technology Infrastructure at UBS Securities from 1994 to 1998, Global Director of IT Infrastructure and Project management at SG Cowen from 1998 to 2013 and Senior Infrastructure Project Manager at CBS from 2013 to 2014.

Mr. Grunblatt graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

Al Botta

Executive Vice President & Chief Payments Officer

 

Mr. Botta joined Patriot Bank in 2018 as SVP, Director of Payments. He brings with him over twenty-five years of experience as a pioneer in the payments and prepaid market space and has been responsible for the growth of the Bank’s Payments division.

Mr. Botta’s industry knowledge and experience have translated to significant growth in the Bank’s payments division. Mr. Botta has served in various senior capacities with several institutions including BankMobile, Customers Bank, and Metropolitan Commercial Bank. He has developed strong relationships within the industry.

Mr. Botta studied at Adelphi University focusing on Business Administration and Operations. 

Thomas E. Slater

Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer

 

Mr. Slater joined Patriot as EVP/Chief Credit Officer following his tenure as Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer at Investors Bank. Previously, Mr. Slater worked at TD Bank, N.A., where he served in a series of additionally responsible credit roles, including Vice President & Commercial Credit Manager, Credit Officer, Credit Policy Officer, Portfolio Manager and Underwriter. Mr. Slater has extensive experience in commercial real estate and commercial and industrial lending. He has been successful in developing credit analysts and is a proven leader.  Prior to TD Bank, he served as a Loan Review Officer at Trust Company Bank.

Before entering commercial banking, Mr. Slater began his career in the Office of the Controller of the Currency (OCC). As Associate Bank Examiner, he was responsible for analyzing and risk rating credits in regional banks, community banks and the Federal Reserve. Also at the OCC, he examined and supervised bank’s Loan Portfolio Management, Interest Rate Risk, Investments, Liquidity, ALLL and regulatory reporting. 

Mr. Slater holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Rutgers University.
